Message of Apology

I'm sorry for the inconvenience. You can cancel my loads from Flickr directory Gobbler 11:48, 22 October 2006 (EDT)

Thanks for reminding me about the tagging. I had totally forgotten. Also, if you the chance, could you take a look at the file history for the images I uploaded to see if I'm entering the correct info. I appreciate your assistance. WindHorse 22:19, 25 December 2006 (EST)

You're welcome and thanks for your uploads too. The summary of Image:Jakar.jpg mentions the source (World66) but not the author - the attribution requirement of both W66 and Wikitravel's licence. If there is no credit info available at the source, I guess noting that on the image summary would suffice. -- Ricardo (Rmx) 22:46, 25 December 2006 (EST)
Thanks for getting back to me. I've added the name of the author of the 'Jakar' image as well as a link to the image source. Does that suffice? Thanks again for your help. WindHorse 23:09, 25 December 2006 (EST)
I'm trying to add 'Khumbu' to list of destinations for Nepal in order to add a photograph of 'Gokyo' that I recently uploaded from World66. However, it seems that the page is protected as the edit button does not give me access to the subcategory section. Could you explain what I need to do in order to undertake this process. Thanks, and sorry for troubling you. WindHorse 22:11, 26 December 2006 (EST)
No trouble at all, WindHorse. I usually do it the other way around - first adding the location tag to the photo. This will automatically add a category to it, which shows at the bottom of the page. Categories are a feature of the MediaWiki software that help us group pages or files together -they have limited use on Wikitravel proper, but are useful for building our little image galleries here on Wikitravel Shared. So after adding the location tag, I go and edit the category by clicking the red link at the bottom of the page then adding the {{isin|somewhere}} tag. Instead of creating a breadcrumb thread like it does for destination articles, here it will automatically add the location you just edited to the list of places contained in the "somewhere" category. To add a subcategory, use {{isin|category}}. I've just done that for the Gokyo image and the Khumbu category, if you'd like to check out how it works. I hope this explanation helps! -- Ricardo (Rmx) 06:35, 27 December 2006 (EST)

Thanks from me too -- I wasn't aware of the tagging. Also, thanks for tagging my images -- I was going to fix it, and I saw you had already cleaned it up. -- Jonboy 13:14, 28 December 2006 (EST)

Liaison reports

Hi! I noticed from this page that you are the official liaison for Wikitravel in Dutch. As I know from your kind comments to the swedish reports, on Wikitravel Shared we have a page where we report the progress for the different language versions. The page can be found here. Please use the template provided and add your own report when you feel so inclined - that way the rest of us Wikitravellers can share your success! Riggwelter 10:05, 25 February 2007 (EST)

As a matter of fact I am the liaison for Portuguese and I've been trying to write reports on a bi-monthly basis, which I think is all right if you consider that some even older versions have even less reports or none at all. Just like you, I wish other go-betweens would share more often their worries and achievements. -- Ricardo (Rmx) 16:11, 25 February 2007 (EST)
