Man, has anyone else seen htmlArea? It's really nifty -- a WYSIWYG HTML editor built into the browser. The new (3.0) version works with Mozilla and IE... I dunno about Konqueror, Opera, or anything else. But it'd be pretty neato to have WYSIWYG editing built into Wikitravel... --Evan 00:37, 20 Jan 2004 (EST)
As long as there's some chance to upgrade to latest MediaWiki, maybe it's also possible to set up a WYSIWIG plugin? WYSIWIG is used for long at Wikia wiki hosting, and works perfectly (I had some experience with http://paygsimwithdata.wikia.com/). Benefits are obvious: much lower barrier for one-time contributors, therefore a higher conversion to regular contributors, therefore more useful content, therefore more pageviews and ads served--so there's even a benefit for IB :-) --DenisYurkin 15:12, 1 June 2011 (EDT)
