Winter sports in Australia

Despite what you may think, Australia DOES have a winter sports industry. The season is not very long compared to more 'favourable' climes, but Australians take full advantage of what we've got, extending the natural ski season with snow machines etc.

The major skifields are found in Victoria and New South Wales, while Tasmania has extensive snow during the winter, which makes for excellent sightseeing and winter hiking, but no formal ski fields AFAIK.
