Is there something to this, or is the writer just very confused? Jpatokal 22:58, 3 August 2006 (EDT)
- Appears to be a reference to http://world.wikia.com which is indeed a travel guide. Not to be confused with http://local.wikia.com which is a bunch of local guides about places around the world and what to do there and what to eat, which should also not be confused with http://cities.wikia.com which a bunch of information about towns around the world and what to do and where to eat, which should not be confused with individual city wikis like http://sanfrancisco.wikia.com which contain information about major cities and what to do and where to eat. None of them appear to have any real community as yet. The "cities" wiki is the "collaboration of the month" this month at Wikia. Also see this discussion amongst the Wikias regarding mergers.
- Oh, and the travel wikia used to be called http://travel.wikia.com. -- Colin 02:16, 4 August 2006 (EDT)
- Jpatokal, I think you get the same Google Alerts that I do. I'm not sure what the story is, but world.wikia.com seems to be relatively new (started in the last few weeks). --Evan 06:54, 4 August 2006 (EDT)
- Oops... I missed the fact that there's a http://tourism.wikia.com which seems to be an attempt at Wikitravel:Other ways of seeing travel. -- Colin 16:07, 4 August 2006 (EDT)
