Earth : Europe : Scandinavia : Faroe Islands : Northern Islands : Viðareiði
Viðareiði is a village in Vidoy in the northern Faroe Islands.
Bus from Klaksvik The car ride from Torshavn is the longest journey possible on the islands without using a ferry and involes several tunnels, including a toll tunel from Eysturoy to Borðoy and two long ones with right of way in one direction (passing places).
Walk. The peninsula is narrow enough to enable easy access to the sea on both sides. For strong walkers, there is a fine cirque leading toa ridge to the end of the island.
Unusually for the Faroes' villages, there are actually two places to eat or drink (coffee is very reasonably priced at both, alcohol at neither!)
