He seems to be a certified looney, since he told me he would do his best to destroy my resort, even though it is one of the finest in the Philippines. Rome

Doesn't it make sense to preserve a general overview paragraph on veg* for Rome?

Vegetarians should have an easy time. Buffets usually have a good range of delicious vegetarian stuff too - eg gratinated roast peppers/aubergines, etc. Vegans should do OK, too. Pizzas don't always have cheese - a Marinara for example, is just tomato, garlic and oregano. Remember, though, that Parmesan cheese is not permitted to vegetarians.

Albuquerque Corrections

Perry...you are obviously doing a great job on the Albuquerque, New Mexico Wikipeida pages. I work as a relocation specialist for the largest employer in the city. Many people have told met that they are surprised when they get here, that it snows. They tell me Wikipedia said there was "rare" snow. I see that you spent time in Pittsburgh, so perhaps your sense of snow is different. Maybe you are used to more. People make big financial decisions based on this site, and this the information should be accurate. I see you are an administrator. Please change that. The site has a photo that says "during a rare snow" people are mislead by that. Another thing that may be incorrect is the South Valley is almost as large as the city itself, it is a large growing region with many farms. One of the vice presidents of the company I work for chose that area to live there, above anywhere else in the city. He was from Baltimore, Maryland, and chose the property on line. He came into my office, and said, "Wikipedia says I live in a danger zone...I probably should have chosen a different part of town". he added so far, he hadn't even heard a police car so he didn't know if it was true. If you say on this site that is is a danger zone it is not really true. Say exactly where the danger is. In our office we get a report from the police department that says the crime is concentrated on the Southwest Mesa. Your job as an administrator, is to run a great Albuquerque page. Take it from me, who is seeing results from back end...make it real! Be accurate. Much more money than you can imagine is spent as a direct result of the Albuquerque, New Mexico Wiki page. It can't just be someone's opinion, it has to be the facts! Thanks for listening...from me and the 10 members of this relocation office.

First of all, you should really get an account here, it makes communication a little easier. ;-) Secondly, this is a travel site, not Wikipedia. So while we do try to stick to the facts, there is a heavy dosage of opinion involved. And thirdly, while I do have a heavy investment in the Albuquerque article here, Wikitravel is a collaborative effort, so not everything on the Albuquerque page (particularly the bit about the danger zones) was written by me. Fourthly, it's really quite awesome to hear that people are really taking some of this stuff here to heart!

Now then, to your concerns. I think the bit about "rare snowfall" is perfectly accurate. When I wrote that, I hadn't even been to Pittsburgh yet. Albuquerque's snowfall is small compared to even Santa Fe's. As someone who lives here, I feel the snowfall is infrequent enough that "rare" is probably the best word one can use to describe it. It tells you that it does snow here, but not very often. I have no desire to change that.

Now, on the bit about the danger zones, again, I did not write that, but I will go ahead and remove it, because I've been to the South Valley and it hardly seems that dangerous. And I doubt most tourists are going to wind up on the Southwest Mesa anyway, so thank you for pointing that out, I will take that down. PerryPlanet ^Talk 12:58, 5 April 2009 (EDT)

Sleep price ranges

Hi Perry. Can I ask why you reset the lower price range to $0 on Downtown Disney and Animal Kingdom, and why you removed the price range template entirely on the Magic Kingdom article? =) LtPowers 14:23, 14 April 2009 (EDT)

Well the price ranges should be consistent throughout the resort, not for any style reason but just because that's how Disney defines them. I'll see if I can figure out what the ranges should be. LtPowers 22:01, 14 April 2009 (EDT)

Thank you PerryPlanet for all the work on Pittsburgh! I had a read through some of the parts and it looks interesting. Pittsburgh is one of the coolest rustbelt cities, and I want to use your (awesome) formatting and style as some inspiration for my work on Edmonton and Portland. I was wondering why my listing for Pacific Coastal Properties was removed from the Solana Beach page...the address of the business is located in Solana beach and they offer vacation rentals in the area.

Cuisine categories in "New York City/Chinatown"

PerryPlanet: First of all, thank you for your wonderful additions to New York articles like the one on Lower Manhattan.

But I have to ask you why you deleted some of the cuisine categories I had created for the Chinatown article. By deleting them, you have left a jumble of uncategorized restaurants at the top of the "Eat" section. Unless that is a temporary measure and you have some brilliant master plan for the article (which, seeing your other contributions recently, may indeed be the case), the result is that you have made that section less user-friendly and subtracted useful information, to the detriment of readers. Please restore the categories that were there. Thank you.

Thanks for your reply in my User talk page. The thing about Chinatown is that most every restaurant would be in the "inexpensive" category, so in this case, subcategories by cuisine would seem to me to be most useful. Of course, we could divide categories into "super cheap," "inexpensive," and "moderately inexpensive to moderate." :-)

"Santa fe rentals" (sic)

I'm not on here much these days, so could you take a look at what somebody using the above handle has just "contributed" to the Santa Fe article? I think it should be at least partly rolled back because of the proscription against second-party lodging services, but I haven't been paying attention to the latest gyrations in our policy. Your input valued.

John, do you know whether the Garduno's chain as a whole is still alive? In addition to the one at the airport closing, the one in Las Cruces is also kaput, as a result of a big tax-evasion "incident" according to my son, a student at NMSU.
