Thank you for your edits to Na'in, but please have a look at Wikitravel:Small city article template - the main section headings should follow that standard, which is why your changes have been repeatedly reverted. If you have questions you can ask them on this talk page or in the Pub. -- Ryan • (talk) • 02:21, 14 May 2012 (EDT)

Again, please stop changing the headers on the Na'in article - if you don't like the Wikitravel small city article template you can discuss changing it at Wikitravel talk:Small city article template, but until then every article should use the standard section headings. -- Ryan • (talk) • 22:36, 17 May 2012 (EDT)
Hello .I don't know how to ask my question .. but it seems that i made a mistake and Na'in page has been locked. ahhhhhhh i read this now and get the point to change the headers.. ok get it now... can you please unlock this page. i'm going to add one more picture.. thank oyu —The preceding comment was added by NAINTOURS (talkcontribs)
Are all of the photos you are uploading photos that you have taken yourself? Image:Desert2.JPG appears to have a copyright notice on it. If you are not the photographer then an image usually cannot be used in a Wikitravel article - see shared:Copyleft#Can I copy text and other content to Wikitravel from other sites? for details. If any images that you have uploaded are not your own they will need to be deleted, so please let us know. -- Ryan • (talk) • 23:09, 18 May 2012 (EDT)

hi. that's the mark i added to the picture because it's part of my collection that i provided with the accompany of my friends "GM" comes from Green Memory which is my Mark (not trade mark). if you like i can i can remove the water mark and the location description. you can see it in some of other pictures i added such as "Mossala water reservoir" and "windtower old district" —The preceding comment was added by NAINTOURS (talkcontribs)

Thanks for the response. As long as it is your own work then the mark should be fine, but you may want to indicate on your images that you are the owner, and you should also specify what license you are releasing the images under - doing so will prevent others from questioning whether the images are valid for use on Wikitravel in the future. shared:How to upload files#Example upload summary shows an example of a template that you can use to indicate that it is your own image, and shared:How to upload files#Licenses describes some of the available licenses. To add these templates to your images, you could edit the page for each of your images and add something like:
You can see all images that you have uploaded by looking at shared:Special:Contributions/NAINTOURS. If you have any questions you can ask them on this talk page or in the Pub. -- Ryan • (talk) • 11:41, 19 May 2012 (EDT)

Iranian destinations

Hello, Na'in! Thank for your invaluable contributions on the Iranian destinations that are largely unknown to most travelers. We just wanted to inform you that the content of this site (together with its active contributors) is going to move on a non-commercial platform. The reasons behind this idea are summarized here [1]. We hope that you'll follow this move! Unfortunately, during the last 3 weeks the backup was somewhat problematic, and your most recent contributions may not be preserved. But they should not be difficult to restore by hand, so please plunge forward! Atsirlin 02:47, 20 August 2012 (EDT)

Hi Naintours, as you may have noticed I also occasionally edit on the Iranian articles that you have been contributing to and I have noted your sincere and useful efforts to improve those articles. I also think it would be a good idea for you to visit the link kindly provided by Atsirlin above. -- felix 04:09, 20 August 2012 (EDT)

Hi .. actually i read it and couldn't understand most of it. but i guess a new website is going to establish. can you brief it or clarify want i can do or ....? thank you

Well, to make the long story short, everybody is tired of our current host, their annoying ads policy, and missing technical support. The content should be moved pretty soon. Prior to that, you can vote your support at [2] and, if you like, continue editing here. After the content is moved, you can check and update the articles edited since August 2 and start editing at Wikivoyage because Wikitravel will be depopulated (in fact, it is already fading). That's it!
And, of course, you should feel free to ask me further questions. Atsirlin 06:24, 20 August 2012 (EDT)

Hi NAINTOURS, The situation has been well summarised above by Atsirlin

The current situation is in a somewhat considerable state of flux.

Below is a bit more detail on the situation:

I appreciate the matters discussed at that linked page are possibly a little arcane at this time.
If you have an explore of the various pages (linked there) discussing this it may prove just as confusing.

I would suggest that perhaps if you wish to continue contributing here then save your major edits offline to ensure your good work does not become obscured by the rising level of nonsense edits and content including mass spaming that is entering the WT site at a every increasing rate.

  • A considerable number of the established editors and Administrators have now withdrawn from the current IB hosted Wiktravel project.
  • A proposal has been put forward to move the project across to a Wikimedia hosted venue. This has not yet happened.

This proposed move is in conflict with the current host Internet Brands (IB) and is of course no doubt causing them some consternation. IB is a commercially based host that requires a revenue model to justify ongoing support and involvement in the project. For many of the established Contributors and Administrators this relationship is in conflict, or at least potential conflict with the core project objectives.

The problem is seriously compounded by IBs ongoing difficulties in managing the IT and server backbone that supports the running of the WT site. The existing support appears to be unable to effectively deal with mass spaming attacks and the recent upgrade has caused further instability to an already seriously compromised model. Hence it has now motivated a withdrawal or Contributors and Admins. Perhaps make copies of your edits (copy the content of the edit pane with the mark up) and save it to your own harddrive. That way when the problem is later resolved it will be easier to separate your own work from any 'unguided' edit content that may arrive into the article. Normally people such as myself would be doing this but we have stopped as the volume is not being adequately mitigated at a systemic level.

I certainly do wish to encourage you to maintain your interest and to have an ongoing involvement in the project.
It is however important to ensure you are aware there is a problem at this time. Perhaps at for now you should register at the website being used as a vehicle for Contributors to the project to discuss this issue and develop a working solution. Please use your existing User name so that you can be readily identified as an established project contributor. Please express any questions or opinions you may have on the matter there. -- thanks for your interest.

If you do not want to participate in the discussion at that website then that is OK, just watch to see what eventually emerges as a solution.
Thanks for your interest and patience with this. felix 07:08, 20 August 2012 (EDT)
