Hi, Colin! Welcome to Wikitravel. Please take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub.

I've heard of it. I've been there! -phma 07:30, 7 Mar 2004 (EST)

Most useful thing to do

There's a page called ways to help Wikitravel that gives some suggestions for ways to contribute. --Evan 11:04, 7 Mar 2004 (EST)

Hi, Colin. Thank you for the two statistics links you gave me at Talk:United States of America. I assumed more people died in traffic in higher-income nations -- in the extreme case, if no one can afford a car, there are zero traffic accidents. I am surprised to see exactly the opposite happen in Africa and the Americas. I'm glad I learned something new today. -- DavidCary 20:24, 2 Apr 2004 (EST)

Hi Colin - thanks for the warm welcome, I've just come from Wikipedia, so please call me on anything I'm doing that's out of sorts around here - so refreshing to find a place without all of the politicing and wierdness of WP! Have read some of the guides, look forward to working with you, Mark Richards 13:31, 5 May 2004 (EDT)

Oops - thanks for pointing that one out - will go back and fix this! Mark Richards 20:15, 6 May 2004 (EDT)
