Explore the centre on foot, or rent a bike to see the province of Tra Vinh. There is a Cambodian Theravada Buddhism temple in the city (50/1 Lê Lợi, phường1) (and a large number of them around the city), which might be interesting if you haven't been to Cambodia before (look at Google Maps to find them). There is also a Christian cathedral in the city (at Lê Lợi, Phường 1) and it'll be decorated and busy with visitors during any Christian festival. The beach side supposed to be one of the nicest in the Mekong Delta.

A place to rent motorbikes is located on 60 Nguyen Thi Minh Khai (about 5-10 minute walk from the centre). Its a motel as well as a 24h shop called Minh Nguyet. They specialise in wholesale food & beverage items and should be easy to spot due to mountains of packing boxes stacked everywhere. Price for an automatic is 150,000 VND in good condition, except that none of the dials worked, so you have to guess your petrol consumption (December 2017).  They also rent bicycles for 70,000 VND.  Pay upfront and be prepared to leave your passport as a deposit (standard practice in SE Asia).

Pretty much zero English is spoken. '''Note''': we had an incident where slightly more than 500,000 VND (in two different currencies) was stolen from one of our bags in the morning when we went out for breakfast.  The staff refused to accept our complaint, so we reported it to the police.  Several hours later, with the police and the hotel owners on site, the owners offered to reimburse the damages of 500,00 VND, because "they didn't want to get the police involved" (police didn't file a report, the policeman helping us knew the owners personally, shook hands when they met etc...).  Your mileage may vary. (December 2017)</sleep>
