Tivat is full of water-based activities, hiking and other active adventures.
If you're looking for hiking, a walk up to Vrmac is a great full-day trip. There are some routes that are tough to navigate. Make sure to research routes as tourist information maps aren't incredibly helpful.
Down by the water you'll find Porto Montenegro which offers casual walking, shopping and eating. The water is sparkling clear and full of fish, whilst the dock offers super yachts to look at. The maritime museum costs €2 and has historic ships to look at. You can find sporadic, tiny stone beaches further North, which allow you to swim and sun bathe.
You'll find pizza in abundance, which isn't surprising as there is a huge Italian influence here.
You'll find plenty of good quality meals along the waterfront near Porto Montenegro, which is mainly aimed at luxury tourists. Be careful of some of the restaurants as there are plenty of tourist traps.
The town itself has a sprinkling of restaurants. Plenty of them, as mentioned, are pizza restaurants. There is a pub called The Black Sheep which offers a wide range of draft beers and has a western vibe to it.
Typically the beers, especially Montenegro's Nikisicko beer, are around €2. This is a light and very drinkable beer.
