Article Division and Downsize

As per Hypatia's observations of a year ago, it is - IMHO - time to start revising the main article, dividing and devolving the Melbourne article into its various relevant districts... For a big city, it is amazing that it has survived so long in this form (mind you, Chicago seems to exhibit the same phenomenon).... The See section of the main article, for example, has grown quite large and unwieldy - definitely time to identify the highlights of Melbourne's attractions, summarise them, and send the detail to the district pages. Being a native Sydneysider, I don't want to presume too much regarding the city's regions, so maybe several Melburnians can get the ball rolling? Paul James Cowie 03:10, 13 Nov 2005 (EST)

So, I just ignored my better judgement and - Sydney-Melbourne rivalry notwithstanding (!) - I've just included a proposed division of Melbourne into districts, as based on the official tourism web site's take on the matter..... Let's see if we can now start devolving some of the content from the main article out into the districts.... Paul James Cowie 04:05, 13 Nov 2005 (EST)
Nearly a year later... I've started to move some of the content out. Someone will need to keep an eye on things: it's really hard to persuade people to district-ize things!
Since I've just come back from there, I feel inspired to help with some district-izing. Slleong 09:44, 31 March 2007 (EDT)

Hi, I run the wiki Melpedia. Once the site is a bit more polished is their a possibility of adding to the main article? Perhaps under a learn more area? 00:06, 13 February 2008 (EST)

Wrong food showing

I'm not a wiki user. The picture of chinese new year food used on this page is salmon yu sheng, which is a dish developed and used in Singapore. It's not a dish that's common elsewhere for chinese new year (although this may change over time).
