Hmmm... Where did this Melbourne skyline picture come from? Is it public domain? If it's copyright by the state, how does it conform to our copyleft? It's going to get deleted unless there's some answers. -- Evan 06:39, 21 Nov 2003 (PST)

Evan, 'twas me - I put the image up the other day..... The website I purloined it from, however, stated that public, non profit use was permissable provided attribution was retained..... Does that fit with our modus operandi? If not, let's remove it! -- pjamescowie 17:03, 21 Nov 2003 (GMT)

Well, first off, it's probably a good idea to put that kind of thing in. Second, our copy left allows commercial use, so this isn't really acceptable. I'm gonna zark it -- maybe some friendly Australian will post their own, eh? -- Evan 11:06, 21 Nov 2003 (PST)
Not an Australian, but still friendly enough to post a picture ;-) DhDh 13:20, 21 Nov 2003 (PST)

Walking tour

So, I'm really pretty unhappy with this walking tour stuff. Can we please break it down to the attraction listings format? It might be useful to do an itinerary like An afternoon in Melbourne on foot, or A walking tour of Melbourne's Central Business District, but I don't think this belongs in the main article. --Evan 10:00, 26 Dec 2003 (PST)

I agree with the principle of what Evan said. A walking tour is really an itinerary. The only thing I'd change is the title -- something like Melbourne walking tours, Walks in Melbourne or Melbourne on foot. Such an article could act as a container for several walking tours. Actually, Walks in ... might be suited for national parks and the like too, eg. Walks in Kakadu National Park. And this makes me think of having articles like Trekking in the Himalaya... DhDh 11:07, 26 Dec 2003 (PST)
