Juárez is, basically, unsafe. It has become a war zone. Even people who have weathered crime and violence in the past ten years no longer go there unless they absolutely have too. The murder rate has quadrupled in the last year.

do you have to have a passport to re enter the U.S. or will they let u through? I just need to go down there for a brief visit to the dentist but don't want to be stuck in mexico.

Juárez is, basically, unsafe. It has become a war zone. Even people who have weathered crime and violence in the past ten years no longer go there unless they absolutely have too. The murder rate has quadrupled in the last year.
