I was also confused what to do with diacritical signs. I used ch for a sound like in children, sh for a sound like in ship, and zh for a sound like in measure.

There's a hitchhiking phrasebook floating on the web, but it's not clearly free. It's also not wiki. So, I just started one here :)

Since this will not only be used by native English speakers, and since the normal way of explaining the pronunciation on the English Wikitravel is butt ugly I propose to use phonetic transcription... Guaka 09:26, 3 Oct 2005 (EDT)
