Xinyi is a district in Taipei.
There are a variety of bus lines that goes through Xinyi District. You can also take the Taipei MRT Blue line to Taipei City Hall station and take the shuttle bus to Taipei 101.
The newly opened Taipei MRT Red Line allows to go directly to Xinyi, with stations for the Taipei 101 and Xiangshan (Elephant Mountain).

Taipei 101 , the second tallest building in the world next to the Dubai Tower. The bookstore "Page One" on floor five of the shopping mall in Taipei 101 also has the largest selection of English books in Taiwan
- Elephant Mountain Hiking Trail. (象山步道, Xiangshan) - A short walk south from Taipei 101 or from the Xiangshan MRT station, steep steps lead up into a shaded, forested hill overlooking the city. From the MRT station and at Zhongqiang Park (中強公園), signs lead to the Xiangshan Hiking Trail. Elephant Mountain, about 200M high, is one of the Four Beasts Mountains, and paths from here go up to higher peaks in Nangang. After approx. 15 minutes of hiking up, a view platform offers spectacular views of the Taipei 101, and 5 minutes further up, a big rock gives the same view from an even higher position. edit
