Mona Vale is a beachside suburb in the Northern Beaches district of Sydney, Australia.

Understand

A well catered for small town with two supermarkets, a number of small malls and a lot of places to eat. Long golden sandy beach with good surfing and swimming. Cliffs at the South end make access difficult for the disabled and those with children.

Drink

• Mona Vale Hotel: Good food, nice staff, but the management is poor and rude.

Sleep

Mona Vale Motel: Clean, friendly though basic. Biggest problem is it is on the noisy Pittwater Road.

The Reef Resort: Basic appartments at the North end of Mona Vale Beach.
