  • Visit interior of Selby Abbey. A Benedictine church dedicated in 1069. The First King of England was born there. See the stained glass window containing the Washington family coat of arms, which is believed to be the inspiration for the American Stars and Stripes Flag.
  • Cross the former Wooden Toll bridge, now repaired and reconstructed and mostely metal, but still has wood/tarmac surface. There used to be a 4p Toll to cross the river Ouse, but now you can cross for free.
