The best period for sailing to Andaman and Nicobar islands is from May to October. You not only have to obtain Indian visa but also a special permission to entry island. Remeber some islands are closed for tourist just not to disturb native nations of islands (it mostly concern North Sentinel island).

The only one biggest danger are saltwater crcodiles.
Althougth Andaman and Nicobar are quite popular tourist attraction it's not so liberal as Goa or Kerala beaches. The best clothes for women are tank tops and shorts for the beach and summer trousers/long skirt, tank top and summer shirt for sightseeing.
