Pythion

Pythion is a small border village in Western Thrace, Greece, a few kilometers north of the city of Alexandroupolis and the Kipi - Ipsala border crossing between Greece and Turkey.

Get in

There is no airport available. However, there is a train station servicing Turkish and Greek railways. It is, in fact, the only railroad border crossing point between the two countries.

Eat

The Pythion train station includes a "Buffet" that sells an assortment of chips, cookies, candy bars, and chocolate croissants.

Get out

According to which direction you are coming from, you will most likely either board the eastbound train to Istanbul or the westbound train to Thessaloniki here.
