Polperro [1] is a picturesque town on the south coast of Cornwall, UK.

A very tight valley with just one road in and out. The road is for authorised vehicles only and so the general public must park in the car park at the top of the village.

The car park is pay and display and reasonably priced. The car park is busy during high season.

The walk is downhill into town, is not very steep and takes 10 mins. If walking is not your thing, then there is a horse and cart or converted milk float "tram" that will take you there and back for £1.50, 75p one way.

My best way if you are ambulent is park at Looe and catch the bus opposite the doctors surgery and bus to Polperro walk into the village and then turn west (well marked coastal footpath to Looe ( GOING EAST  !!) Marked with Acorn signs

Lovely walk about an hour or two depending on speed .....why rush !!

Get around

The sea trips from the harbour. There have been plenty of sightings of basking sharks just off Polperro harbour and the converted fishing boats do a 30 minute round trip to see them if they are around.
