Plockton [1] is a village in the Scottish Highlands of Scotland, popular with yacht and dingy sailors. The village became famous as the setting for the "Hamish MacBeth" tv show.

Plockton is about 7 miles north of Kyle of Lochalsh.

Plockton is about 80 miles west of Inverness.

The village is small and pleasant to walk around.


Seals and sometimes dolphins on Calum's Seal Trips. Duncraig Castle across the water. Palm trees lining the streets.

The Studio is a lovely gift and art shop just beside the main carpark in Plockton. There is a small newsagents with a gift shop beside the takeaway. Hidden Treasures near Plockton Stores on Harbour Street has a wealth of gifts and cards and you can also book on Calum's Seal Trips here!
