The Northern suburbs is an area North of the Swan River in Perth.

  • Whiteman Park. In the Northern outskirts of the city, Whiteman Park is an amazing National Park and wildlife sanctuary. Kids can pet the Kangaroos and other wildlife and the grownups can enjoy the railway, railway museum and loads more. Perth features an abundance of similar wildlife parks which are spread around the outskirts of the metropolitan area.
  • AQWA - The Aquarium of Western Australia (AQWA), 91 Southside Dr, Hillarys (From Perth City take Mitchell Freeway north and take the Hepburn Ave exit. This will take you directly to Hillarys Boat Harbour - where AQWA is located), +61 8 9447 7500, [1]. 10AM-5PM. Explore 12,000kms of Western Australia's coastline in just one day. Held in the spring school holidays (last week of Sept or the first week of Oct) this showcase of WA agricultural produce, farm equipment and displays of equestrian events, sheep dog trials, wood chopping and prize farm animals has been going for more than 100 years. Entry fee.

The Sovereign ArmsLakeside Joondalup Shopping City, 420 Joondalup Dr, Joondalup, WA, 6027 Probably the busiest pub in Joondalup on a Friday and Saturday night. Opposite the Grand Cinemas.
