You can get there by Train,Air or by Road. It is 320 km from Delhi and takes 5 hours by road. There are heaps of trains connecting from all parts of country to Ludhiana through Delhi. The fares are very reasonable starting from Rs.100 to go upto Rs.1150 per person. Best option is to take the superfast Shatabdhi express leaving Delhi in the morning and evening. Takes about 4 hours and one meal and tea is served on the way. Else take the night Deluxe buses from ISBT in Delhi OR The Indian Airlies flight
Getting around could be quite a task in Ludhiana because of excessive traffic in Chaura bazaar and the recent construction of the NH-1 bypass ramp. But a lot Auto-rickshaws are constantly taking people from Point A to Point B and vice-versa. A lot of bus transportation has developed which has routes between the under-construction Ludhiana Bus Depot, old courts, Different Bye passes around the city and the Chaura Bazaar.
Ludhiana is not much of a tourist spot but is more an upcoming cosmopolitan city of india.
