Long Beach Island is a city in New Jersey.
Long Beach Island is about 18 miles long off of the coast of Southern New Jersey. There is only one road leading into and out of the Island, Rt. 72. If you are driving there, that would be the road that you would take. However, if you are using other modes of transportation, you would have to go to Manahawkin and have a car service take you over the bridge. Manahawkin is approximately 7 miles away from Long Beach Island.

Once on the Island, there are not many ways to get around. There is no public transportation. Depending on which hotel you stay at, they may off transportation services. If you are not staying at a hotel and need to get around, you can use a taxi service. The Island is very strict with drunk driving, so when you go out at night, make sure you have a ride back to where ever you are staying. Remember, it is better to be safe than sorry. There are three different taxi services depending on where you are located. I will give you the phone numbers so that you can write them down and have them.
