Lakes District (Turkish: Göller Yöresi) is in Mediterranean Turkey.

  • Burdur — on the shore of Lake Burdur
  • Eğirdir — pleasant town on the shore of its namesake lake, northern hub for hiking St Paul Trail
  • Isparta — known as the "city of roses", because of the large oil-rose fields around it

Other destinations

  • Sagalassos near the town of Ağlasun is one of the major Roman cities of the region.

Scattered by a number of lakes large and small, fresh and salty alike, this inland region north of Antalya Province over the Taurus mountain chain, is substantially different from, and less travelled than its coastal neighbours to the south.

Lakes District more or less corresponds to the region named Pisidia in ancient times.
