Koszalin [1] is a city in West Pomerania, Poland.

Get in[edit]

By plane[edit]

The nearest airport is located in Szczecin (Goleniow) and Gdansk.

By train[edit]

Koszalin is linked with other polish cities by a rail network. There are several trains each day to Szczecin and Gdansk. Also a direct connection with Poznan exists. The price for the tickets should not be higher than €10-12.

By bus[edit]

There is a bus station (close to the train stations) serving nearby towns and other major cities in Poland.

Get around[edit]

Koszalin has a good network of city owned buses that bring you everywhere in the city. There are 14 normal bus lines (2,3,4,6,8,9,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17), 3 seasonal bus lines (1,1J,23) and one water tram line (Koszałek).
The price of a normal ticket is around €0,70-0,80 (2,90zł).
To get to Mielno/Unieście where the beach is you need to one of the private vans who wait also in the front of the station. In the summer there are a train operating to that coast town and public bus line No.1.
