Sukhothai (สุโขทัย) is the capital of Sukhothai Province, in Northern Thailand.

Get in

By Plane

The price of plane ticket to Hua Hin is very expensive compare to the distance and the time. Also that there is only 1 flight per week.  The price is around 5000 baht or 40 dollars. 

By Bus

There's bus going to Hua Hin leaving from Bus Station known as "Mor Chit", the bus leave every 4 hours and the travel time is around 3 hours. The price is 200 baht or 40 dollars.

Get around

The best way to see the ruins is by bicycle. They can be rented from a shop across from the main park entrance.


  • Ruins of Sukhothai, 12 km outside city. The eponymous capital of the Sukhothai Kingdom from 1238 to 1438, now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.





  • Lotus Village [1] is a cozy boutique hotel located in the heart of Sukhothai. All rooms are in Thai style teak houses with verandas, surrounded by fish ponds, lotus flowers and beautiful tropical gardens. The lobby is an excellent place to relax and read a large selection of magazines, books and newspapers.
