Greymouth is on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island at the west end of the road through Arthur's Pass.

Approximately 2.5 hours drive north of Fox Glacier.

By Train

Greymouth Train Station, the western terminus of the TranzAlpine line from Christchurch.

The world famous TranzAlpine, operated by Tranz Scenic departs from Christchurch station at 8.15 and arrives at Greymouth at 12.45pm daily.
