The province of Foggia is the northern part of the region of Apulia in southern Italy. It can be divided into two main parts: the Tavoliere delle Puglie is where the capital city Foggia is located. It is mainly an agricultural area often called the "granary of Italy". The other part is the Gargano which represents the spur of the boot-shaped Italian peninsula. This is the most touristic area, featuring some beautiful villages and towns, beach resorts, and a natural park.
The only airport is in Foggia and it only serves charter flights or Alidaunia flights to/from the Tremiti Islands
