Brabantian, a distinct dialect of Dutch, is the language spoken in Flemish Brabant. In the facility municipalities around Brussels French is also spoken. Standard Dutch and English are greatly understood everywhere.
Visit the town of Baarle-Hertog, which is a patchwork of enclaves with the Dutch town of Baarle-Nassau. It is possible to park your car, purchase groceries and eat your food while standing in two countries.
