The False Bay is located to the east of the Cape Peninsula near Cape Town, South Africa.

It is called False Bay, because in earlier times ships would go to False Bay, instead the Bay of Cape Town Harbour., ending up in the wrong bay.

It is warmer then the Atlantic Ocean side of the Cape Peninsula and the locals love to go swimming in Strand and Gordon's Bay during the warm summer month of December and January.
