Esso is a village in Kamchatka's central region, 520km north of the capital. Established in 1932 in a picturesque confluence of river Bystraya and unfreezing river Uksichan.

In the language of Even people "Esso" stands for larch-tree. If you are warm-blooded animal, August and September are best-advised months for you to visit. If you are used to cold weather and grew hair, than you may find sightseeings all around the year, especially in winter when local geothermal sources are most enjoyable. The abundance of hot water has supposedly tipped the locals to give the place the name of "Kamchatka Switzerland". Besides that, hot springs are used for house-heating.
