The easiest way to get around Offaly is by car. The roads are good enough.
Get in a taxi, bring you anywhere.
The Grand Canal will bring you from Edenderry through to Daingean, Tullamore, Rahan and Shannon Harbour.
Go from Clara to Tullamore and on to Portarlington by train which are all on the Dublin to Galway/Westport line.
Cycle along the canal through the county.
The Rock of Cashel in Tipperary, Newgrange in Meath and Lough Owel in Westmeath are all about an hours drive out of the county.
