Central Europe

Common region names

Ethnically different, the countries of Central Europe share similar culture and history throughout the ages.

Czech, Polish, Slovak and Slovenian languages are in the same Slavic group, and they are quite similar to each other. Austrian and (partially) Swiss national languages are German (own dialects).
