Blois Chateau

Blois is a town in the Loir-et-Cher department of central France, almost equidistant between Tours and Orléans.

Get in

  • Blois is easily reached from Tours or Orléans by train, which are both easy to reach from Paris.

Get around

  • The Chateau de Blois is in the centre of the town, which was once occupied by Louis XII.
  • Foret de Russy.

The view of the Loire from the place de chateau is just spectacular. From there you could see the two largest churches and a sea of houses in the color scheme of the region (bluish gray, brick and cream). As spectacular is the chateau itself.

Hotel du Bellay has inexpensive, basic rooms and is close to the chateau.

Hotel Tour-Hotel [1], has budget accommodation with free WiFi.

  • Etap Hotel.
