Beypazarı is a town near Ankara, in Central Anatolia, Turkey. It’s noted for its preserved Ottoman architecture and streetscape.

Get in[edit]

Beypazari is located 100 km northwest of Ankara. You can take buses from Ankara to Beypazarı every half hour. Automobile travel from İstanbul to Beypazari takes 4 hours. Train and plane are not available.

Get around[edit]

Old town of Beypazari is situated in the north of old Ankara-İstanbul road whereas new city is located in the south of the road in the plain. You can promenade all the old town by walking.

Beypazari is famous for its half-timbered mud-brick houses and cobblestoned streets. Today, most of these historical houses are used as hotel, restaurant, shop etc. Visitors should walk around these historical streets. Hıdırlık Tepesi (Hill) provides a nice view of the town. Yaşayan Müze (Living Museum) where traditional daily life of a family is exhibited should be visited. Tourists should walk around Çarşı (marketplace) and Suluhan (inn) in where economic and commercial life of the town has been continued for centuries. Many people start their Beypazari visit by having breakfast in greenery İnözü Vadisi (Valley) which hosting historical cave from ancient times besides its natural beauty.
