Aarhus (pronounced or-hus) is the second largest city in Denmark, and the main city of the Jutland peninsula. There are many large colleges in the city, and hence, a robust nightlife. There are many wonderful pubs, restaurants and romantic places, as well as a beautiful pedestian shopping street (strojet).

The city is easily reachable by train or plane from the continent or from Scandinavia.

The Danes are reserved towards strangers, but friendly towards tourists, and will be happy to give you directions and advice in fluent English.

Prices for food and hotels are higher than in other parts of Europe.
