Hey, since you've been doing a lot of uploading I wanted to ask you a favor. Before you add any information about an image in the "Summary" boxes would you please click in the Summary box, then scroll down to the very bottom of the page and click on the "Image Credit" template. This will automagically import the template into the Summary box. To use the template simply fill out all of the values. When you use the "Location=" value simply type in the the name of the place the image was taken, don't link to the page. Jani edited the template which reads the input and automagically turns what you type into a link and categorizes the image. Thanks. -- Sapphire(Talk) • 16:50, 14 March 2007 (EDT)

Well, let me try to knock out your questions in order:
  1. All the images look good.
  2. To create a category click on let's say Category:Sylt then "edit" and type {{Location|Germany}} this will cause the [[:Category:Sylt]] to be included in [[Category:Germany]] .
  3. The caption is intended to be a headline, like: "Oktoberfest". The description can go more in depth like: Taken in the Hofbräu Zelt, which is one of the most lively tents at the beer fest. Beer drinkers consumer multiple Maß until they pass out while listening to Country Roads Take Me Home.
  4. I don't think using categories would be a good idea. Of course, you could go ahead and make use of a category, then ask if anyone is concerned about it. If the community decides not to use personal categories we can simply move the page. Type Category:User:Túrelio and that should work.

Also, how fluent are you in German? -- Sapphire(Talk) • 19:31, 14 March 2007 (EDT)

Rome old and new.jpg[edit]

Due to some unfortunate limitations in the software, it's not possible to rename images, and as you saw it's equally difficult to use anything with an ampersand in the filename. The only solution is to delete the file (which I have now done) and then re-upload it with a name that doesn't cause trouble. Annoying, I know! -- D. Guillaime 23:05, 1 June 2010 (EDT)

Thanks for that. However, as I didn't expect a deletion, I didn't save the original description, categories and upload-log of the image. As I haven't access to deleted content, could you eventually post that information here. I could then use it when re-uploading the image, provided I find the image file on my harddisk. --Túrelio 11:32, 2 June 2010 (EDT)
I'll do one better and restore the file. (I can also re-upload it under a different name if you'd like, but thought you might prefer to keep your contributions attached to your user account; it does certainly make it easier to find them again.) To save you some time, here's a direct link to the full image, and the text is below. -- D. Guillaime 16:13, 2 June 2010 (EDT)

@D. Guillaime, many thanks for your help. I've re-uploaded the image as Image:Rom altneu 10050025.jpg, so the old one can be finally deleted. --Túrelio 19:14, 2 June 2010 (EDT)
Done! Thanks for understanding! LtPowers 16:00, 3 June 2010 (EDT)
