Remove vfd[edit]

I've removed the in this template. Yes, stuff uploaded without a license notice is probably going to get vfd'd if we don't deal with it, but it's probably premature to put the VFD on without giving someone a chance to fix the problem. The text of Template:vfd suggests that the article has been recommended for deletion, which technically isn't true for a file that was just uploaded. I know that I was pretty surprised to see the VFD notice on a file I just uploaded. --Evan 18:15, 16 June 2006 (EDT)

Oops. Thanks for fixing that. I had to slpit because of the ac adapter. - Sapphire
Oh, so the template was vfd'd? That makes more sense, then. -- 23:53, 17 June 2006 (EDT)
That's correct. What's the deal with the apostrophe why wouldn't the template page work with it? (I'm assuming you're Evan). - Sapphire 01:07, 18 June 2006 (EDT)

add a category and a link[edit]

I'll change this template as follows, maybe tomorrow.

  • add Category:Unlicensed
  • add a named parameter (user=, optional, username should be specified for value) and make a inconspicuous link to dummy page.

This will remove a file from Special:Uncategorizedimages without adding a category by hand and we can see thumbnails in the category. As to the link to dummy page, Special:Whatlinkshere for it will be use to show the contributor who uploaded the tagged images. -- Tatata 07:21, 7 August 2007 (EDT)
