What happens[edit]

Local spam blacklist entries can be got around by varying the case. If spamsite\.com is added to the list, is not blocked. ~ 05:34, 1 November 2006 (EST)

Has this actually happened, or is this just a theoretical problem? The easy workaround is to add mixed-caps variations, so if we actually see we can change the line to [sS] . --Evan 15:57, 1 November 2006 (EST)
It's actually happened, and appears to still be possible, despite this being tagged "fixedbug". Adding [sS][pP][aA][mM][sS][iI][tT][eE].[cC][oO][mM] would work, but surely shouldn't be necessary. ~ 10:40, 2 September 2007 (EDT)
