Your contributions[編集]

Props for trying to contribute in Japanese but, umm, is there any way you could get a native speaker to proofread your edits? I think you'd learn better that way, and the articles would look a bit more professional. Jpatokal 2006年12月7日 17:05 (JST)

I'm not a native speaker. I asked a friend to take a look, but she can't even understand many of your sentences. Who are you learning Japanese from? Can they help? Jpatokal 2006年12月7日 17:22 (JST)
I've studied Japanese in Japan for a year and one year in the US, but I'm in Peace Corps now trying to increase the information on Azerbaijan for tourist. If there is a question that you have on certain sentences, please forward them to me and I will correct them. If you see problems that you can fix, please do so- this is the beauty of the Wiki idea. Look forward to collaborating with you in the future!
Please, stick to the template if you're going to post city stubs. I will now manually have to revert them all because, I'm sorry, but your Japanese is just not up to scratch. For example, I don't know what on earth you were trying to say with 女性達は茶屋に行ってしまうなんです, but now it means "All the women (unfortunately) end up in teahouses" — except that you wouldn't say 女性達 in a context like this and the なんです is both unnecessary and inappropriate in written Japanese.
I know I sound like an asshole above, but the unfortunate truth is that learning to write formal Japanese is really difficult, and this is not the right place to practice. I've been studying the language for nearly ten years now, it still takes me ages to pound out a single paragraph of prose, and even though I think it sounds OK a native speaker proofreading it will invariably find something that may be grammatically correct, but still sounds awkward/childish/inappropriate/etc. Jpatokal 2006年12月7日 21:32 (JST)

Again. Sigh. Let me translate a few of your phrases:

  • トルコ語の文句書 → The Turkish book of whiny complaints
  • 交通サークルに上陸をした後で空港に行く方と一緒に行って出たら1AZNを払う。→ After amphibious invasion to the traffic circle, if you go and leave together with the people who are going to the airport, pay 1 AZN.

Is this really the impression you're trying to make? Jpatokal 2007年7月23日 15:20 (JST)

You are convincing me to do even better in the future; this tourism information needs to be posted in Japanese as the only Japanese guide on this region is quite horrible. I would prefer that we work together to create a better document, but if not I will just continue translating the documents that are created with the help of the rest of the community. I hope that you understand. Cupcakecommander 2007年10月7日 21:18 (JST)

Your images[編集]

Hello Cupcakecommander!

Thank you for your contribution of articles and images related to Azerbaijan. Recently I start to tweak Sheki article (シェキ) and find that your images on ja: don't have a licensing tag. So could I ask you to replace {{nolicense|user=Cupcakecommander}} tag on your images[1] with licensing tag ( {{cc-by-sa-all}} , {{cc-by-sa-1.0}} or {{PD-creator}} )? Thanks in advance. -- Tatata 2007年10月4日 12:57 (JST)
