This is a walking village. People have walked these streets for hundreds of years. Most streets are 2 Meters wide or less. Pedestrians might see a bicycle but no cars or taxis. The streams require care and so everyone is very careful.
Check with your Inn as times for events may vary.
A light show plays on the hill near the lake and on the lake with various fountains.
As you walk around the city, some houses are open for tours and show interesting glimpses into ancient history and local life. There is an art gallery displaying some items of local historical significance.
There is a cultural demonstration area showing cultures from around the world.
After dark the lights come on (check the hours) and the streams flowing through the streets are spectacular. This is an opportunity that day visitors may miss. The lights likely go off at some point. Those streams running through the village may present a challenge to navigation when the lights go out. The streams are deep and a fall will likely require medical attention. Attention is required.
There is a Bus Station at the main entrance across from the post office. You should know the Chinese characters and pinyin for your intended destination. The roads are winding and the busses, not very expensive.
