I had to delete your edit from the Kampot because of excessive linking and what appeared to be promotional edits for this pillow company. Please don't tout or you will be issued a block. --OVK 05:17, 18 January 2013 (EST)

Fair enough and obviously accept your decision however links were to my own photos or images of Kampot each of which opened in its own web page and none of which made any reference to the business I am associated other than within the URL for the location of the file. However my apologies if I have overstepped the boundaries in this edit and I will endeavor to be more circumspect in my future edits. regards, tkp

Yes, Wikitravel policies about External links might sound to be very strict. We just try to avoid references to secondary sources. I hope you understand. I reviewed your contribution on Kampot page and the pictures are very nice. In this situation if you would like to have your pictures added to the article you could use this page to upload your pictures. Wikitravel Shared is our hub for all the files and for all the language versions of the site. From there you can take the pictures and put them on Kampot article. I am here ready to help you if you need some assistance with that. Warm regards, IBAlex 14:45, 18 January 2013 (EST)
Hello again, I noticed that you were trying add those pictures in question to the kampot page, might I suggest reading quickly trough Wikitravel:Images for instructions on how to add actual images to the article instead of the URL's. Best regards --OVK 01:00, 23 January 2013 (EST)

Hi OVK, thanks for your assistance. I have maybe 20 images I would like to add to the Wikitravel - Kampot page and am slowly going through the process of uploading them to Wikitravel shared and placing the images in the public domain. A few of these images may be worth putting on the Kampot page as thumbnails however I thought too many pictures on the page might clutter it excessively. I thought the bulk of my Kampot images were better used (the less interesting ones) as a URL link and I seem to have a handle on how to do this. I had read through the Wikitravel Images guide prior to my last attempt this morning to attach this image - - as a thumbnail however I repeatedly stuffed something up and it would not display correctly on the page. At that point, the electricity went out in Kampot (not an uncommon occurrence) and I was unable to continue. I will persevere over the next week or so and hopefully sort it out. cheers for your help, tkp

Hi! I have just put the 2 images you were trying to upload on Kampot page. I saw that you had some difficulties with naming the files and that's the reason why they displayed badly before. Please go to Edit and see how they are formatted so that you will not encounter any problems in the future. If there are any problems, just let us know:) Looking forward to seeing your contributions on Kampot page. Thanks! Cheers! IBAlex 15:25, 23 January 2013 (EST)
