Hello! Welcome to Wikitravel. Please take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. Thanks for your contributions to Cleveland - I know I've played with that page some and there is a ton going on! However we need a little bit more from you - the images you uploaded, image:Usmap-cleveland1.jpg and image:Us map - cleveland.jpg need information about their copyright. Did you create them? Do you release them? Check out our image policy for a better understanding of this request. Thanks again! -- Ilkirk 17:16, 30 Nov 2005 (EST) Map uploading[edit]It's a bit of a pain, but for legal purposes, when you upload an image, we need you to include either a statement that you're donating it to the public domain, or that you're licencing it under the Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike licence. To save typing, you can just say "by me, public domain" or "copyright me, CC-BY-SA". (Let me know if you want an explanation of the the difference between PD and CC-BY-SA.) I'd also invite you to take a look at Wikitravel:Mapmaking Expedition, which explains the file formats and so on that make it easiest for the project to make use of maps you contribute. - Todd VerBeek 17:37, 24 April 2006 (EDT) Going nuts[edit]Wow! You're going nuts! Thanks! Cleveland's looking great. Now, if you want to help me team up on Dayton, and Columbus that would be great. Also, would you happen to know anything Sandusky that article is looking pretty bare. The only thing that I know about Sandusky is that Callahan Auto is located there 8). Just an additional note to say thanks for all of the work you've been doing on the Ohio articles. One minor suggestion is that you may want to read Wikitravel:Image policy#Minimal use of images - it's a policy that isn't too strictly upheld, but having myself tried to get travel information from dial-up internet cafes before it's one that is worth at least considering. For an example of an article that uses several (but not too many) images you may want to take a look at Singapore. Alternatively you can feel free to ignore this suggestion - you've made some great contributions and I definitely don't want to do anything to prevent you from continuing. Thanks again! -- Ryan 21:17, 1 May 2006 (EDT) Ohio regions[edit]I noticed you unlinked the Ohio regions in some edits[1]. In doing so you made some pages orphans. Please take care with your edits. -- Huttite 06:40, 1 May 2006 (EDT)
~~~~[edit]I just noticed that you're probably spending way too much time writing your user name after your comments. A quicker way to sign your post is to type ~~~~ which will look like this: - Sapphire 21:10, 14 May 2006 (EDT) 66.94.67.2[edit]If you are making edits under this ID, please refrain from making deletions to Wayne Forest, Southern Ohio and other pages without discussion on that page. Some entries you made in Cleveland have been removed as they are in suburbs and not in Cleveland. 2old 14:29, 11 September 2007 (EDT) |
