Hello from your admins and thanks for your edits![edit]

Hey LindaAnderson! Also wanted to send over a friendly "hello" from one of your admins here on Wikitravel! Saw how your volunteer website on our Botswana and Costa Rica page. While the opportunities from your site sound amazing and your intentions are well, just wanted to send a gentle note that it is against our policies to list the same website in all of our articles as we strive to emphasize on providing unique travel information (i.e. hidden gems, tops sights to see, etc) that's accessible to anyone and can be printed out. As mentioned from Adzas over a year back, a listing needs to have a separate address and contact info of the business in the respective country in order to be posted. In your case, you are a platform that offers many wonderful opportunities in a given country but since it's analogous to a booking website, it is something we need to only keep on our Volunteering page. Hope this helps and hope you understand. You can feel free to reach out to me on my talk page or down below here if you have anymore questions. Thanks! Hello! Welcome to Wikitravel. To help you start contributing, we've created a quick contribution guide and a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub. -- Adzas (talk) 09:26, 28 June 2017 (EDT)

Volunteer work[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you added a website to many different articles about volunteer work. Our policy is that we don´t add the same website to multiple articles, and looking at the website, it looks more like an online booking site, where people can book their trips in order to do volunteer work. Please have a look at listings to learn more about our guidelines. If you have a local organisation with an address, contact info for that specific location, that is the type of info we are looking for. Any questions, please let us know or leave a message in the travellers' pub. Thanks! Adzas (talk) 09:43, 28 June 2017 (EDT)

Hi thank you for getting in touch. Volunteer World is a comparison platform where interested volunteers can search for an compare volunteering opportunities in over 80 countries worldwide. That's why I intendedly entered the website link for each specific country to a country's page. For each program you get all the information necessary as our mission has always been to ensure transparence, independence and high quality within the meaningful travel industry. Also, we only mediate between the volunteers and the NGOs. Furthermore, each country page has a lot of information about that certain country when you scroll down on the page. That's why I'd like to ask you to reconsider listing us, as this would be an enrichment for your readers :)
Thanks again for your input. Although the information on your site looks interesting, as you offer a booking service in over 80 countries, it is against our policies to list the same website in all those articles. We have an article about Volunteering, there you could add your information, but a listing needs to be complete, with address of the company, description etc. I hope this helps!
