Hello Khushi! Welcome to Wikitravel.

To help you start contributing, we've created a quick contribution guide and a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page.

The owners of hotels, restaurants, bars, attractions, and other businesses useful to travellers can share information that helps others in their travels. However, they should adhere strictly to our policies and guidance.

Countries vs. States, Regions, Territories[edit]

Hello again! I had to revert your edits on the page A–Z list of countries because none of the places you kindly added were fitting the description: a country is a political entity controlling a mass of land and its inhabitants, like India, Germany or Egypt. Typically, they have their own army, money, passport etc. This list also includes lands being de facto independent, Like Taiwan (de facto means even if it's not recognized by the UN, it's still how it is factually and lands with a strong claim to independence supported by most of its population and having strong international support to their claim, such as Palestine. Even if lands like Quebec or the Basque Country or Catalonia present a strong will to independence, they are de facto not independent, and shouldn't listed here. And logically, administrative regions that which don't claim independence, like Rajasthan have n reason to be here. Washington DC, being the capital of a country, has even less reason to be treated as a separate country! Hope this makes things more clear, otherwise feel free to ask anything.
