Hello, KPK! Welcome to Wikitravel.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Please see Wikitravel:Welcome, business owners and our guidelines for marketers. -- Ryan • (talk) • 10:26, 15 July 2010 (EDT)

To expand on the above, if you are making contributions solely to promote a business then those edits are held to a higher standard than those made by normal editors. Don't just copy & paste the same info into multiple articles, include price ranges, local address, and make sure that the listings have useful description text that would help travelers differentiate your business from others, such as telling that the types of cars available, etc. Failing to meet this criteria will generally lead to edits being removed. -- Ryan • (talk) • 10:39, 15 July 2010 (EDT)
Please discuss with us on this page before adding any more listings. Copying the same listing to twenty articles is viewed as spamming and may lead to blacklisting of the company in question. -- Ryan • (talk) • 10:26, 16 July 2010 (EDT)
