ContentsWelcome[edit]Hello JossDude! Welcome to Wikitravel. Please take a sec to look at our copyleft and policies and guidelines, but feel free to plunge forward and edit some pages. Scanning the Manual of style, especially the article templates, can give you a good idea of how we like articles formatted. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, and if you need some info not on there, post a message in the travellers' pub. If you are having trouble with some of the terms being used, check out the jargon page. Thank you for your image uploads and contributions to Mykonos, Paros, Woolacombe and others. Looking at the images there is one that has some people shown on the right side in Image:Panorama.JPG. You should review the Wikitravel:Image policy in the area of "People in photos". We don't normally include people in Wikitravel photos and if we do a model release is required. Would it be possible to crop this photo? Again, Thanks for the contributions and welcome to Wikitravel. I look forward to seeing your future contributions and photo uploads. -- Tom Holland (xltel) 11:32, 21 May 2006 (EDT) Request for Photo Delete[edit]Copied from User talk:Xltel i have changed it but cant seem to deleat the old one, is there a way? Europe[edit]Now, that I know you'll be traveling around Europe by train I can actually help you plan. What time would you want to leave Pamplona? Would you care to spend a night in Barcelona, or Madrid so we can ensure that you're in Berlin the day you need to be? - Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 09:04, 2 June 2006 (EDT) Glad you're still here[edit]Will you do me a favor? On your InterRail ticket does it say something about trains leaving after 7 or 8 PM on a given day counts as the next day? I'm trying to get you to Pamplona on the 12th, but it appears that I can't get you there unless you can leave sometime after 8 or 10 PM on the 11th.-- Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 06:03, 4 June 2006 (EDT)
I'm 17 (18 this month) and am going cause it will be my final year before Uni. Am from Leeds, U.K. Will have a better look at the links you added to that page, Cheers JossDude 06:36, 4 June 2006 (EDT) Love Parade[edit]Since I wanted to help you out the best that I could I emailed the Love Parade organization and asked them the specific time the parade started. There will be a show prior to the parade, which starts at noon. The parade, itself, starts at 2 PM. So you'll probably have to leave Amsterdam early to get to the Cologne train station. A train to Berlin will take about 4 1/2 hours. - Andrew Haggard (Sapphire) 09:37, 6 June 2006 (EDT) See User_talk:Jc8136 for my tips for you. Jan 03:06, 7 June 2006 (EDT) Personal home page - vacation photo service[edit]Hi JossDude, You might want to take a look at Wikitravel:User page help as we do not provide personal home pages or a vacation photo service. Your talk page is pretty much being used for that at this point. We do want you to add content about your trip and I am looking forward to that. I know you want to show your friends/family pictures and dialog about your trip, but there are other services where that can be done. Thanks. -- Tom Holland (xltel) 11:39, 1 August 2006 (EDT) User:JossDude/India - there is a better way now![edit]I saw that you've started off a page to record your experience in India. Did you know that there is a better way now to do this? Head over to. There you'll find a way to automatically create a user account that maps to your wikitravel account. You can create a blog that shares your experiences, upload your photos, and talk to other travellers in a much better way than you can do here! Hope you have a good time here in India. Let me know if you need any help. — Ravikiran 08:50, 21 June 2007 (EDT)
Travelogues[edit]Hello JossDude, you have not responded to previous messages warning that Wikitravel explicitly forbids using userpages as a personal home page or vacation photo service, but you have been using Wikitravel exlusively for that purpose for the past year. As Evan and Ravikiran point out above, Wikitravel does offer these services through ; please move your travelogues there. I have blanked your travelogues to get your attention, as previous messages apparently did not, but the information is not permanently deleted and can be easily retrieved. --Peter Talk 21:24, 18 July 2007 (EDT) |
