Hello, JoeT10! Welcome to Wikitravel.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for your contributions, but please note that warning boxes are only used for "non-obvious dangers to life and limb". For example, a visitor to to Somalia needs to know that the country is a war zone. However, a visitor to Los Angeles does not need to be warned about gang activity in Compton - a mention in the article's "Stay safe" section is sufficient since most visitors won't be going to Compton, and for those that do it is quite obviously not a safe neighborhood. -- Ryan • (talk) • 05:58, 21 October 2010 (EDT)

Just to re-iterate, please read the guidance on Template:Warningbox. The information you have thus far been adding should instead be written in paragraph form in the "Stay safe" section of the articles. -- Ryan • (talk) • 06:51, 21 October 2010 (EDT)
