Hello, Brthomas! Welcome to Wikitravel.

To help get you started contributing, we've created a tips for new contributors page, full of helpful links about policies and guidelines and style, as well as some important information on copyleft and basic stuff like how to edit a page. If you need help, check out Wikitravel:Help, or post a message in the travellers' pub.

Thanks for your edits, but please see Wikitravel:External links and Wikitravel:Bodies of water. In particular, links to non-primary sources such as or blogs are discouraged in articles, and articles about bodies of water aren't included here (an article about a region such as Russian River or Lake Tahoe is often OK). We'd love to see more contributions from you - if you can add info about rafting, paddling, etc to some of the existing northern California articles that would be great, or you could create a travel topic such as Watersports in California. -- Ryan • (talk) • 02:14, 31 August 2009 (EDT)

Just to reiterate what's above, the Wikitravel:External links policy is that links to other guides should not be included in Wikitravel guides; the rationale behind that policy is spelled out on the policy page. -- Ryan • (talk) • 15:26, 14 June 2010 (EDT)
